   What is the difference between IAS, IPS and IFS?

IAS, IPS, IFS officers are elected after passing Pre, Means and Interview in the UPSC Civil Services Services Examination. Although many people are not aware of the work, salaries etc. of these officers and remain confused about their roles. Today we are telling you the difference between IAS, IPS officers, about whom people are confused.

 The post of IAS and IPS is of special authority. They are known as Public Service Officers and they are called as Flagors of Indian democracy. They have different roles and there is a lot of difference in their salaries. All these officers are selected after passing the Civil Services Examination organized by the Union Public Service Commission.

IAS (Indian Administrative Service) - The candidates who get top rank in the Civil Services Examination are made IAS. The IAS officers implement the law made in Parliament in their respective areas. At the same time, they also make important contributions in making new policies or laws. IAS officers can also become Cabinet Secretaries, Under Secretaries etc.

IPS (Indian Police Service) - IPS officer works in maintaining law and order in his area and from IPS SP to IG, Deputy IG, DGP. IPS walks with Fearless and Equality. The IAS work properly to implement the law.
Studied Oxford, worked in fields, became IPS.

IFS (Indian Forest Service) - IFS deals with foreign affairs and offers its services in the Ministry of External Affairs. IFS officers become IFS officers after three years of training to clear the UPSC. IFS officials work in diplomacy-related matters and handle bilateral matters.

Salary of the IAS officer:

Talking about the salary of the IAS officer, it is done on the basis of various structures, such as junior scale, senior scale, super time scale. There are different pay bands in pay scale. The IAS officer is also entitled to HRA (40 percent of original or official accommodation). They also get DA, TA. It increases salary based on cabinet securities, APEX, super time scale.

Salary of IPS Officer: PF, Gratuity, Healthcare Services, Lifetime Pension, Accommodation, Service Quarter, Transportation, Domestic Workers, Study Vacations and many other retirement facilities are also provided to the IPS officers. It gets salaries on the basis of IG, DIG, ADG, SP.
